Norsyamsiah Binti Derus
Norsyamsiah, 44, used to work as a factory worker beforehand joining WOW’s program. WOW’s microcredit program gave her the needed capital and skills required to grow her cake and traditional kuih business. Norsyamsiah is the person in-charge of payment collection for Matahari group.
Norsyamsiah was selected by Masjid Ara Damansara as the block leader for the Bantuan Masjid Prihatin Covid-19 program to distribute food to those who are not affordable every day during Covid- 19.
She also was selected by the Block G & H, Surau Al-Firdaus as a representative to assists in food distribution for families in needs.
Norsyamsiah also is a representative of Team Selangor. Norsyamsiah had helped Team Selangor, local community group and JKM to distribute essential item to the families.
She had been selected and interviewed by Free Malaysia Today (FMT) on the impact of Covid-19.
